The members of the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Central San Jose Sai are ardent followers of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. We are part of Region 7, Sri Sathya Sai Centers of Northern California & Nevada in the Sri Sathya Sai International Organization. Our center was founded in March 1992.
All are welcome to attend our meetings, and there is no membership fee or age barrier. In the words of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, to be a member “requires no special scholarship.” Membership is comprised of people from all walks of life coming together with one common goal – to realize their innate divinity. We are spiritual seekers who strive to apply His teachings in daily life.
We meet on Sundays, and our SSE classes are conducted online between 3 PM and 4:30 PM on Sundays. In addition, our SSE children participate in devotional music offerings as well as lead and participate in various service activities in the community. We conduct two study circles based on Sri Sathya Sai Baba's teachings, one focused on Spirituality and the second focused on Sai Parenting for SSE Parents.
Our devotional program and bhajans are conducted between 5 PM and 6:15 PM on sundays
Sai Baba taught us that in the spiritual path, the first step is selfless service - Love all, Serve all. We work together with the community and pave pathways to engage in serving the needy, utilizing our talent and available resources. The objective isn’t as much in the ‘giving’ but in recognizing Him in the people we serve. Sri Sathya Sai Baba taught us that the universe is but a “reflection, reaction, and resound” and that service provides a means for our self-transformation. We prepare meals, conduct homework enrichment/tutoring programs at local shelters regularly. In addition, our children participate in a convalescent home service. We also engage in periodic collections and community cleaning projects.
